Tottenham Hotspur are keen to bolster their left-back options with the signing of Chelsea's Ryan Bertrand, according to the Daily Express.
The one-cap England international would cost Spurs in the region of £8m, with Mauricio Pochettino hopeful of adding to his choices at left-back.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto spent last season on loan at Championship side Queens Park Rangers, whilst Danny Rose flattered to deceive for much of the campaign having previously excelled on loan at Sunderland.
Bertrand, 24, spent the second half of last season with Aston Villa after making just one Premier League start for the Blues.
The Southwark-born defender, who won his solitary England cap in 2012, shot to prominance as he deputised in a disciplined left-midfield position in Chelsea's Champions League final defeat of Bayern Munich earlier in the year.
However, having failed to kick on at Stamford Bridge, Bertrand is keen to leave the West London outfit in search of regular first-team action.
