Spurs are looking to bolster their midfield options with the signing of West Ham's Mohamed Diame, according to Football Direct News.

The 26-year-old Senegalese has a year remaining on the three-year deal he signed with the Hammers in 2012 and has seen his stock rise during his stay at the Boleyn Ground.

Diame came to England with Wigan Athletic in 2009 and is closing in on 200 Premier League appearances since arriving from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano.

A tough-tackling defensive midfielder, Diame is also attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle United.
