Former AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri will replace Tim Sherwood at Spurs, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.
Allegri, 46, was sacked by Milan in January with the Rossoneri languishing in a mid-table position in Serie A and in serious danger of failing to qualify for the Champions League.
The former Cagliari and Sassuolo coach has pedigree though, having won the Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup with Milan in 2011 - achievements which saw him named Serie A Coach of the Year.
A midfielder in his playing days, Allegri spent nearly two seasons in charge at Cagliari prior to his spell at the San Siro, where he finished ninth in his first season before surprisingly removed in April 2010 with the Rossoblu in 12th.
The Corriere Dello Sport report that the Tuscan will officially start his new role in July after being selected by technical director Franco Baldini.
Allegri will be assisted by his former Milan number two Mauro Tassotti.
