Tottenham are the latest Premier League club to bid for Barcelona outcast David Villa, according to reports in Spain.
El Confidencial writes that Spurs have in the last few days submitted a significant offer to the Catalan giants in the hope that President Sandro Rosell may be tempted to cash in on the Spanish striker who is not currently part of coach Tito Vilanova's plans.
Villa has struggled to establish himself in the Barcelona first team since his return from injury at the start of the season and is eagerly seeking a transfer.
Chelsea and Liverpool have both shown an interest in the past, with the latter thought to have cemented a deal before Villa's unfortunate injury at the World Cup in 2010.
Rosell is believed to only be interested in selling Villa at the end of the season but Spurs will be hoping the size of the bid, and the desire of the player to move, could see a deal go through.
