CRICKET: Hewitt just misses out on century

PAUL HEWITT was dismissed two short of his century as he helped Holtwhites Trinibis to a 132-run win over Chorleywood 2nd.

The victory moved the Enfield outfit top of Division 5 of the Saracen Herts Cricket League.

Hewitt top-scored with 98 for the visitors while Leo Smith made 45 as they were all out for 228.

With Habib Younis taking 3-9, Jack Tarling 2-5 and Phil Woodger 2-29, Chorleywood were all out for 96 in reply.

Meanwhile, in Division 4, Southgate Adelaide and Botany Bay had a high-scoring draw.

Craig Lyte (81) and Danny Fitzpatrick (52no) helped the home side to 248-6 from their 50 overs.

Botany Bay got off to a good start, but with Bradley Isherwood taking four wickets, they finished six runs short of victory at 243-9.
