Saracens fly-half Owen Farrell has been left out of England's side for the second Test against South Africa.

Farrell started the opening defeat last weekend but has dropped to the bench with Toby Flood taking his place.

David Strettle returns to the side on the wing and Mouritz Botha keeps his place in the second row.

Sarries' Brad Barritt misses the game due to the eye injury he suffered in the first match but Alex Goode is named on the replacements list.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster said: “Owen has had a fantastic season and I am sure he will make a significant impact from the bench.

"However, Toby has waited patiently for his opportunity and the time is right to allow him the chance to demonstrate his experience and skills in what will be a very tough challenge."
