Tottenham Hotspur have rejected bids from Bundesliga and Premier League sides for Kevin Wimmer, the player’s agent, Mithat Halis, says.

Wimmer, 24, has been used sparingly by Mauricio Pochettino this season and has played just eight games in all competitions this season.

Of those appearances only three have come in the Premier League, but he is nonetheless attracting interest from around Europe.

“Cologne made an offer. There have been a few offers from the Premier League and the Bundeesliga. There is a lot of interest,” Halis told ESPN.

“Tottenham do not want to sell. All offers have been turned down and he is staying.”

Spurs’ decision to hold onto the Austrian international may well have been influenced by the ankle injury suffered by Jan Vertonghen in their 4-0 win over West Brom.

The Belgian could face up to two months out with ligament damage.
