Enfield Town saw off Harlow Town 3-0 on Monday to move within a couple of points of the play-offs.

Goals from Mark Kirby, Dernell Wynter and Billy Crook in the second half were enough to seal the victory.

The first half was a subdued affair but chances were at a premium.

Soon after Tyler Campbell had tested former Towner David Hughes, there was a seven minute day while a substitute assistant referee had to replace the injured Martyn Cannon.

After the re-start, the Hawks had a couple of good chances which saw Ibrahima Sonko plant a header from a corner just over and Fabion Simms shot was off together.

In the 26th minute,  Bobby Devyne's shot smacked against the outside of the post before Wynter's was smothered by Hughes.

The first half ended 0-0 but it was not long before the hosts sprung the game into life.

A Crook corner found it's way to skipper Kirby who controlled the ball before placing a dipping volley beyond the keeper.

Seven minutes later, Wynter chased a through ball and his persistence was rewarded when he beat several defenders and managed to toe-poke the ball into the back of the net.

With fifteen minutes left, Crook fired wide from a Devyne pass but the midfielder managed to get on the scoresheet in added time.

Nathan McDonald made a save down the other end and the hosts broke and the exposed Hughes could only parry the ball where Crook was on hand to tap in with the last kick of the game.
