CJ Ujah has been selected in Team GB’s 80-strong athletics squad for Rio 2016.

The Enfield and Haringey Athletics club member has been chosen for the men’s 100m and in the men’s 4x100m relay.

The selection comes after Ujah was a part of the team of James Dasaolu, Adam Gemili and James Ellington who secured the gold medal at the European Championships in Amsterdam.

Ujah was chosen to run the crucial anchor leg in Sunday’s final and help his team to victory in a time of 38.17 seconds.

Fellow athletics club member Desiree Henry has also been chosen to run in the women’s 100m and the 4x100m relay squad.

Henry failed to finish the 100m at the Championships as she had to pull up with an injury during the race as she collapsed on the track.

Robbie Grabarz will look to defend his London 2012 medal as he has once again been selected to represent Great Britain in the high jump.

The Enfield born athlete took silver at the championships at the weekend ahead of teammate Chris Baker who has also been selected.

Margaret Adeoye completes the line up from the athletics club selected in the GB squad as she was named in the women’s 4x400m relay.
