Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their interest in Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama according to the Evening Standard.
Wanyama has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the past, with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly trying to sign the midfielder last summer.
The Evening Standard now claim that the Spurs boss is willing to go back in for him again, with Wanyama having 12 months left on his deal with the Saints.
The midfielder was a regular for Southampton last season, making 35 appearances and he is understood to be keen on a move to White Hart Lane, where he would reunite with former manager Pochettino.
