Enfield Town are to face League Two outfit Barnet in a pre-season friendly at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium this summer.

Barnet, who finished 16th in the league during the 2015/16 season, will take a squad mainly consisting of young professionals to the friendly, which will be played on Saturday, July 16. The game will kick off at 3pm.

Enfield, who ended the season in sixth place in the Ryman Premier Division, will also face development sides from Championship teams QPR and Brighton and Hove Albion, before they round off their pre-season fixtures against Ware, Skelmsdale United and Haringey Borough.

Bradley Quinton’s side will be aiming to challenge for a play-off spot after last season’s near miss.

The Towners recently announced Football Manager have renewed their shirt sponsorship deal, with the popular football game’s logo being displayed on both home and away kits once again during the 2016/17 season.

Speaking to the club’s website, chairman Paul Reed said: “It is great news for the club that such a prestigious sponsorship has been secured for a fourth consecutive season.

“Football Manager is an established part of football culture now, and we’ve been thrilled with how our relationship has developed over the past few years.”

The club are also on the lookout for a new ladies manager to coach Enfield’s first team. Applicants are advised to e-mail a CV to Julie Square juju16@hotmail.co.uk.
