Enfield Town suffered a 2-0 defeat at Ryman Premier Division leaders Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday.
The Towners made a significant contribution to the match but were ultimately beaten by a clinical side.
Visiting goalkeeper Nathan McDonald did well to keep out an early effort from striker Ryan Moss.
Enfield threatened through Corey Whitely but keeper Phil Wilson raced off his line to clear the danger.
But the hosts broke the deadlock after 33 minutes when a corner from Ashley Carew was headed home by Mitchell Nelson.
Bradley Quinton's side made a positive start to the second half as they searched for an equaliser.
It almost arrived through Tyler Campbell's effort but Wilson made a vital save. Campbell was again denied when his shot was cleared off the line by Matt Drage.
The visitors' best chance fell to Whitely but he dragged his shot just wide of the target.
This proved costly as Dulwich clinched the points with a second goal when Rhys Murrell-Williamson scored from close range.
