Enfield Town's impressive run continued with a 2-1 win at home to Staines Town on Saturday in the Ryman Premier Division.

It means the Towners are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions.

Manager Brad Quinton said: “There is a strong belief in the camp at the moment and no matter who we bring in the boys are all kicking on. It’s a squad game and they all will contribute this season.”

Enfield made a bright start against Staines and opened the scoring when Corey Whitely picked his spot and fired home from the edge of the area.

The hosts doubled their lead when Samir Bihmoutine picked up the ball on the halfway line and launched an attack before hitting an effort past the Swans goalkeeper.

Staines responded in the second half and pulled one goal back through Jack Hutchinson to set up a tense finish.

Quinton said: “I was happy with the first half but we allowed them back in the game in the second half. We probably would have conceded an equaliser in the past but the boys were resolute and I think we deserved it.”
