Tottenham Hotspur are assessing the extent of Belgian winger Nacer Chadli’s injury.
Chadli had to be stretchered off against Liverpool on Saturday after suffering suspected ankle ligament damage and manager Mauricio Pochettino told Sky Sports “we will need to assess tomorrow and after tomorrow we will know more”.
Meanwhile Chadli’s replacement Clinton Njie praised Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet for preventing Tottenham from scoring, including saving a goalbound effort from the substitute himself.
“I think the Liverpool keeper did a great job and today we lost two points, but now we’re going to work for the coming matches where we’re going to do better and try to get the three points,” Njie told the club’s website.
