Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has reaffirmed his commitment to the White Hart Lane club after a summer which saw him continually linked with Manchester United.

The 28-year-old keeper signed a new five-year deal with Spurs last summer but was linked heavily with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer transfer window.

Spanish giants Real Madrid were also mooted as a potential destination for the France captain, but the former Lyon stopper says he is perfectly happy in north London.

Speaking after of Spurs' trip to Qarabag in the Europa League tonight, Lloris said: “Of course I am happy here. I have already replied to that type of questions.

"The only thing I can say today is I am happy at Tottenham and I will do my best to help the team get the best results possible.

He continued: "I am just focused on the present. I am not here to talk about my future or past. I'm just focused on the Europa League game against Qarabag and the Premier League as well.

"There is a lot of competition to play. I'm happy to be here, I have some commitment and responsibility to my teammates and I am really enjoying that."
