Winchmore Hill School's Salome Japal celebrated winning the 200m at the Enfield Borough Athletics Championships for the fifth year in a row.
Year 11 pupil Japal has dominated the race in recent years and blew away the field to win by 10m. The 16-year-old clocked a time of 25.78 to secure the victory.
Japal said: "My interest in athletics started at school and I was encouraged to join a club. I run for Enfield and Harigey and train 5 times a week. I hope to develop my running and run for my country one day."
PE teacher Lorraine Brazier said: "Salome blow the rest of the field apart, winning by a clear 10 metres. This is a result of years of training and dedication for her event. I hope her athletics career continues and she represents England in the future as she deserves it."
