Botany Bay battled to a 24-run win over Hoddesdon in the Herts Championship on Saturday.

The side batted first and scored a total of 209 all out from 55.2 overs. Openers Ben Howgego (25) and Kasey Harris (24) got the side off to a solid start. Tim Richards top scored for the team with 54 and Greg Harris added 29 lower down the order.

In reply, Hoddesdon were dismissed for 185. Greg Harris was the pick of the bowlers as he snared four for 29 and Tony Sayers took four for 59. Tim Richards picked up two for 45 for the victors.

Botany Bay Seconds eased to a seven-wicket win over Old Finchleains Seconds in Division Six A.

Their opponents were dismissed for 113 in 35.2 overs. Botany Bay had few problems chasing down the total for the loss of three wickets in 26.3 overs.

The Thirds also claimed a seven-wicket victory over Hatfield & Crusaders Fourths in Division Ten B.

Hatfield were bowled out for just 89 in 35.1 overs and Botany Bay knocked off the runs in 16.1 overs.

North Enfield picked up a six-wicket win over Allenburys & County Hall in Division Three A.

Allenburys were dismissed for 155 and Enfield needed just 39.5 overs to claim the win for the loss of four wickets.

In Division Six B, North Enfield Seconds fell to a six-wicket defeat to Old Haberdashers in Division Six B.

After being bowled out for 182, North Enfield could not prevent Habs from chasing down the total for the loss of four wickets.

Holtwhites Trinbis romped to an 86-run win over Northchurch in Division Two A.

The decision to bat first paid off as the side scored 261 for eight. Habib Younis hit 53 and there were solid contributions from Angus Mackay (38), Garethan Garnsworthy (30) and Adnan Choudray (66).

Northchurch were dismissed for 175 with Musroor Taj claiming three for 38. There were also two wickets apiece for Younis, Choudray and Kashmiri.
