Charlie Briers scored nine times as Enfield Water Polo Club went top of the London League Division Two on Tuesday, beating Beckenham Seconds 18-5.

The Great Britain junior was in devastating form and slammed home four goals in the opening quarter to give Enfield a 6-0 lead.

Richard and Alex Waller added to the visitors' lead before Craig Snowdon got on the scoresheet with a delicate lob and a further shot to make it 8-1 at half time.

All four scorers then further boosted their accounts for the season, putting their side 11-4 up with a quarter of the match remaining.

Enfield showed their tired hosts no mercy in the fourth as they continued to dominate and Andy Rollé, along with four more for Briers and two for Alex Waller, finished off the scoring as the game ended 18-5 in Enfield’s favour.

Though Enfield now sit top of the division, Watford Seconds have two games in hand and are only five points behind.
