Burnley full-back Keiran Tripper is reportedly set to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur within the next few days.

Spurs have triggered the 24-year-old’s £3.5 million release clause embedded in his contract, the Independent claim, and the Burnley defender is expected to have a medical within the next 72 hours.

Mauricio Pochettino was rumoured to be interested in bringing the ex-Manchester City youngster to White Hart Lane last week, and it is now understood the deal is close to being completed.

Trippier was an ever-present in the Premier League for Burnley last season as they were relegated back to England’s second tier at the first time of asking, following an unlikely promotion.
