Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bring Barcelona defender Marc Bartra to White Hart Lane, according to reports.
Spanish paper Sport claim Spurs are poised to trigger the €12 million release clause in his contract after he made just 14 league appearances for the La Liga winners last season.
The Spain international is down the pecking order at the Nou Camp, with Javier Mascherano, Gerard Pique, Jeremy Mathieu all preferred to the 24-year-old at centre-back last season.
Ex-Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen will also provide competition next season for Barca having been injured for the majority of this term.
There are rumoured to be other clubs also interested, notably Liverpool and Manchester City.
