Enfield Ignatians have been moved across to London Two North-West for next season.

After a protracted spell in London Two North-East, the club have been switched as the knock-on effects of what has happened elsewhere in the league structure.

The consequences of three clubs dropping down to London Two North-East from London One, allied to struggling Braintree who took the decision during the winter to relinquish their place in the former division, effectively means there is a surplus of two clubs.

As a result of this, the two clubs on the perimeter of the London Two North-East sector, Ignatians and relegated Woodford will be moving across to the North-West.

Ignatians’ opening fixture is at home to Hampstead on Saturday, September 19. Enfield will then play Welwyn away, Tabard at home, Hammersmith & Fulham away before hosting Woodford and Staines.

Other opponents who Enfield will be facing next season are Harpenden, Old Haberdashers, Fullerians HAC and Old Merchant Taylors’.

Ignatians played Taylors’ in a pre-season friendly last year and beat HAC in the Middlesex Cup quarter-final before going down to Hammersmith & Fulham in the semi-finals of the main county cup competition.
