Enfield claimed a winning draw from their match against Wembley in Middlesex County Cricket League Division Two on Saturday.

After winning the toss, Enfield opted to put their opponents into bat but the decision did not pay off as Wembley scored an impressive 310 for eight.

Darren Cousins was the pick of the bowlers with two for 40 while Lee Robertson (two for 70) and Craig Ramsey (two for 58) also got among the wickets.

In reply, Enfield opener Jack Plumb scored 68 while Lesbourne Edwards contributed 44. Tom Marsh added 35 and Ramsey hit 33 as Enfield finished up on 259 for six.

Enfield Seconds eased to an 88-run win over Highgate in their Division Two clash.

After being put into bat, Enfield reached a total of 226 for seven. Tyrone Lawler top-scored with 67 while Asad Shah hit 60.

Highgate could not cope with Enfield’s bowling attack and were dismissed for just 138 as Patrick Blair took six for 41.

Winchmore Hill suffered a 61-run defeat to Kenton in Middlesex Division Three.

Kenton’s decision to bat first worked out well for them as they amassed a total of 273 for eight despite four for 77 for James Geoghegan.

Winchmore Hill were up against it and fell short as they were all out for 212. Morgan Prior top-scored with 37.

Botany Bay romped to a nine-wicket win over West Herts in the Herts League Championship.

West Herts were put into bat first and had no answer to their opponents as they crumbled to 84 all out in just 33 overs. Darren James took three for 22 while Greg Harris, Andrew Knight and Danny Muschamp each took two wickets.

Botany Bay eased to the total in 14.2 overs with Ben Howgego unbeaten on 69.

Holtwhites Trinibis slumped to a 107-run defeat to Preston in Herts Division Two A.

Preston scored 238 for seven from their innings and Holtwhites’ response was below par as they were dismissed for 131.

North Enfield netted their third consecutive win after beating Baldock by 110 runs in Division Three A.

The team batted confidently as they scored an impressive 255 for three from their innings.

Baldock had no answer to this and were skittled for 145.

Northampton Exiles suffered a three wicket defeat to Chorleywood Seconds in Division Four A.

Their total of 159 for nine always looked too low and Chorleywood made them pay as they reached the target with three wickets in hand.
