Enfield fighter Frank Buglioni insists Lee Markham may regret agreeing to fight him after it was announced the pair would meet at Wembley Arena on Saturday, May 9.

Buglioni, 25, reclaimed his WBO European super-middleweight strap against Andrew Robinson at the ExCel Arena in November and successfully defended it last time out with a first-round knockout against Ivan Jukic.

The pair are no strangers having met on two occasions as amateurs, with the Essex-based 27-year-old winning the most recent encounter between the two.

Looking ahead to the bout with Markham (14-2), Buglioni said: "This is a real grudge fight between Markham and me that had to happen.

"Full credit to him for taking it, he’s wanted it for the last few years and now he’s got it, which he may regret.

"He’s a good all round fighter, he’s fit and strong and applies plenty of pressure, matched with my style, it’s bound to end up in a thriller for the fans.

"Boxing is all about levels though and I know that I’m levels above him. I can outdo him in every department and better anything he brings. There’s only winner in this fight and that’s me, I’ll stop him," he added.

The 'Wise Guy' will be fighting on the same card as Chris Eubank Jnr., who goes toe-to-toe with Les Sherrington for the interim WBA world middleweight title.
