Brimsdown's unbeaten run in Spartan South Midlands Division Two stretched to 18 games on Saturday but the Limers had to settle for a solitary point after a goalless draw against Old Bradwell United.

The Limers’ first chance arrived in the tenth minute after some good play on the right.

A cross from Ralston Gabriel found Junior Fatai-Somuyiwa, who had time and space in the box. But on the bobbly pitch, Fatai-Somuyiwa struggled to set himself to get a shot away and the opportunity was gone.

Not long after, the same combination linked up again to create another opportunity.

A cross from Gabriel picked out Fatai-Somuyiwa but his decision not to shoot first time proved to be the wrong one.

Although Brimsdown had more possession, Old Bradwell were limiting the Limers to half chances and the two sides went in goalless at the break.

The second half saw more of the same with both sides having chances which failed to trouble the opposing goalkeeper.

Old Bradwell looked dangerous from set pieces. A well-taken corner on the hour mark just needed a final touch but Brimsdown managed to clear in the nick of time.

Brimsdown's best chances came when Trae Gabriel crossed for Ralston Gabriel, but the league’s leading goalscorer just missed the target with a header.

Then, with five minutes left on the clock, Lenny Labiche was unable to get a proper connection with a Henderson Browne corner and the game ended honours even.

On Tuesday Brimsdown came from behind to beat Aston Clinton. Goals from Browne and Leon Constantine saw the Limers take all three points, 2-1.
