Enfield fighter Frank Buglioni is aiming for a world title fight in the United States within the next three years but is focused on defending his WBO European super-middleweight belt for now.

Buglioni, 25, returns to the ring for the first time in 2015 on Saturday night when he takes on Croatian southpaw Ivan Jukic (21-3) at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.

"It is a huge attraction for me because the fights are bigger and the champions are bigger," said Buglioni.

"To get that world title fight in front of a sell-out crowd in America [would be amazing] and I will do anything I have to in order to get that.

"In the next two to three years I will be looking for that world title fight," he added.

For now though, Buglioni's focus is fixed solely on 33-year-old Croatian Jukic, who was beaten by knock-out by Chris Eubank Junior in July before two low-key wins, and the Winchmore Hill-born super-middleweight is a keen advocate of thorough preparation after previously admitting it was his downfall.

After suffering his only professional defeat against Sergey Khomitsky in April, Buglioni has returned to form with three consecutive victories which saw him end 2014 by re-claiming the WBO European super-middleweight belt he had lost to the Belarusian.

"My preparation has been spot on again," he stated. "The improvements from working with Steve and Paschal Collins are really starting to show and I fee like I am improving constantly.

"We have got goals in mind, of course," he added. "Every fight that goes by we highlight another weakness and try to erase it from my game. Obviously I will be fighting a southpaw, so we have focussed a lot on that side of things this time around.

"There has been some top-quality sparring from some amateur southpaws over there and I have been going eight or ten rounds with each of those, so I am feeling good."

Buglioni continued: "I am expecting to face the best Jukic there is. We gave him six weeks notice so he will be properly prepared and there is a big opportunity for him to come and rip up the script.

"But make no mistake, I am looking to show him what Frank Buglioni is all about. I never underestimate an opponent. When he fought Chris Eubank Junior he had just a few days' notice so do not let that result fool you.

"He will have had the best preparation but I have prepared better than ever; like it is a world champion."
