A Michel Vorm howler gifted Leicester City an unexpected victory in the FA Cup fourth round as Spurs threw away a 1-0 lead with ten minutes to go.

Andros Townsend slotted home a penalty after Roberto Soldado was fouled by Liam Moore in the first half.

Leonardo Ulloa levelled up for the away side with ten minutes to go and then a moment Vorm will want to forget as Jeffrey Schlupp’s shot squirmed through his hands into the net in the 90th minute.

Pochettino’s side made nine changes from their 1-0 win over Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup last Wednesday. Leicester City made five changes to their side.

Andrej Kramaric was denied a goal on his full debut for the visitors in the first ten minutes as Vorm denied the striker from five yards out with a stunning reflex save.

The Dutch stopper was in determined mood during the opening stages as he then denied Schlupp with another super stop; his afternoon was not to continue in that ilk.

Brazilian midfielder Paulinho flashed a shot over the bar from 12 yards out as the home side found it tough to breakdown Leicester in the first half.

Soldado was then clipped by Liam Moore inside the box and referee Rob Madley had no hesitations as he pointed to the spot. Andros Townsend then converted with relative ease.

Spurs continued to dominate possession and the game. Soldado forced a smart save from Mark Schwarzer who was making his debut for the away team.

Another debutant Kramaric thought he had earned his side a penalty after he attempted to round Vorm and took a tumble.

Mr Medley was having none of it as he awarded Spurs the free-kick and booked Kramaric to add to his misery.

Leicester began to make amends for the half-time deficit and striker Ulloa wasted a free header from a corner.

The away side were in a wasteful mood as they looked to counter-attack the home team and were three on one but an astray pass from Kramaric typified his game.

Spurs have already played 37 matches this season in all competitions, more than any other side and has shown throughout the campaign and the second half lacked energy.

A jinking run down the right wing from Erik Lamela found Paulinho eight yards from goal but could only scuff his shot agonisingly past the post.

Despite not being at their best, Tottenham’s Lamela continued to shine and he forced a good save from Schwarzer as he cut inside and curled an effort across the goal.

Spurs had been lacklustre and paid the price with ten minutes to go.

Pochettino’s side failed to deal with the corner and the ball found Schlupp on the edge of the box whose low drive fell into the path of Ulloa and the South American drove his shot home.

From then on there was only one winner and it was a moment to forget for Vorm after putting in a good display.

Good play on the wing from Marc Albrighton who found Schlupp in the box. The winger’s shot was tame but it wriggled its way over Vorm into the net to send Leicester into the next round.

The home team paid the price for a lack of energy but in truth, a draw would have been the last thing Pochettino's side needed as the games continue to pile up.
