Tottenham Hotspur have been offered West Bromwich Albion hitman Saido Berahino in exchange for Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is understood new Baggies head coach Tony Pulis would allow the 21-year-old striker to leave The Hawthorns in order to re-vamp his squad in their fight to avoid relegation.

And Berahino, who scored four against Gateshead in Albion's 7-0 FA Cup third round victory, has seen contract talks with the Baggies stall.

After being called into Roy Hodgson's England squad for games with Slovenia and Scotland last year, the Burundi-born frontman has seen his stock fall following a drink-driving charge.

Berahino has scored 13 times in all competitions for struggling West Brom this term, adding to the nine goals he netted last season.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Berahino, but a swap deal including Lennon and Townsend - who have each made just three Premier League starts - could suit Pulis more.
