Thomas Grimes won the latest Grovelands park run in Enfield, claiming his ninth success in just 13 attempts.
The East London Runners member has never finished lower than third in the 13 occasions he has taken part and Saturday saw Grimes claim a ninth victory.
A time of 19.03 saw Grimes just beat Ken Ferguson across the line. Ferguson, who belongs to Barnet and District Athletics Club, finished second in a time of 19.04 – his third consecutive time as a runner-up.
In third was Melvin Lewis, who completed the course in 19.30.
Jan Hickman was the first woman to cross the line, coming in 27th place overall with a time of 24.16. Vanessa Anthony was the second woman to finish, doing so in 24.20.
Third to finish for the women was Claire Power, who recorded a time of 24.55.
