Salim Sobieroj kept up an impressive record which has seen him win the Grovelands Parkrun each of the four times he has entered.

Sobieroj maintained that streak by winning Saturday's edition of the race in Enfield by finishing comfortably ahead of his nearest rival with a time of 17.35.

In second place, Matt Molloy of Woodford Green with Essex Ladies was almost a minute behind, crossing the line in a time of 18.27. Molloy has finished either first or second in each of the last nine events he has entered.

Third overall was Thomas Grimes of East London Runners. Grimes has completed the Grovelands course on nine occasions and claimed a top-three finish with each attempt, finishing in 19.31 on Saturday.

In 19th place, Vanessa Anthony was the first woman to cross the line, doing so in a time of 22.51 - an improvement of almost two minutes on her last time, but still 30 seconds shy of her personal best.

Second for the women was Elaine Pitter, who complete the course in a time of 22.59 to set a new personal best. Pitter's previous best had been set at 23.15 at the end of October.

There was also a personal best for Jo Savage, who finished in third place for the women. A time of 23.41 superseeded her only previous time of 25.29 at Grovelands.
