Mauricio Pochettino was adamant that he was not feeling the pressure but admits his side must find the solution.

The Argentine watched his side slip to a fourth home defeat of the season to Stoke City 2-1.

Bojan and Jonathan Walters scored first half goals for the visitors with Nacer Chadli netting with thirteen minutes to go.

Spurs full back Kyle Naughton saw red in the final five minutes for a cynical tackle on Victor Moses.

Expressing his disappointment, Pochettino said: “I am quite unhappy and disappointed with the performance and the result. I have to balance my emotions.

“No not at all. When you lose you are unhappy and you put the pressure on yourself. We need to find the solution; this is my job in the next few weeks and change our mentality.

The North London club are six points worse off than last season and the Spurs boss admitted he needs to find the solution quickly.

He said: “We need to find the solution. At the start we created a big chance from Harry Kane but after we conceded and we started to play uncomfortably. We made rash decisions. We concede the second goal and in the first half we played no good.

“It is clear if you see the result we need to improve a lot. In football you need time but you never get a long time.”

Spurs created very few chances throughout the game and were second best for the majority of the 90 minutes.

The Spurs manager added: “When we concede the goal, we started to make rash decisions. They were disappointed and frustrated. I think the players know my feelings; I know how they are feeling.”

Tottenham will need to regroup and learn from their mistakes if they are to finish anywhere near the European places.
