Rafael van der Vaart, Giovani dos Santos and Danny Rose all leave Tottenham Hotspur but are Hugo Lloris and Joao Mountinho coming other way?

Rafael van der Vaart has become the third player to leave Spurs – and the signs are a frenetic last few hours of deadline day activity at White Hart Lane are set to continue.

The Dutch international midfielder has joined Hamburg on a three-year deal after Giovani dos Santos moved to Real Mallorca, while Danny Rose has gone to Sunderland on a season-long loan.

However, two players who could be heading for the Tottenham entrance, rather than exit, are Hugo Lloris and Joao Mountinho.

The Lyon keeper has reportedly arrived in London for talks, while Spurs are also said to be closing in on the Portugese star for a fee in the region of £22m, which would be a club record.
