Enfield Town face opening day trip to Lewes after Ryman Premier Division fixtures released

Enfield Town will begin life in the Ryman Premier Division with a trip to East Sussex to take on Lewes on the opening day of the season.

The Towners will make the journey on Saturday, August 18, after the fixtures for the upcoming campaign were released, with Steve Newing’s men welcoming Wingate & Finchley to Donkey Lane for their first home game three days later.

Fixtures against Ryman Division One South champions Whitehawk (home) and Metropolitan Police (away) complete August before Town welcome Hampton & Richmond Borough on Saturday, September 1.

Enfield can look forward to home clashes against fellow London sides Harrow Borough (Saturday, October 27) and Hendon (Saturday, November 17) while they visit Wealdstone on Saturday, December 15.

Town hit the road twice over Christmas, first visiting fellow promoted side Leiston on Boxing Day before playing the return match with Whitehawk three days later. Newing’s side will be at home however, on New Year’s Day when they welcome Bury Town.

The season draws to a close for Town on Saturday, April 27, and they will hope to sign off in style at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium when they welcome Carshalton Athletic.
