After the disappointment of relegation last season, Enfield Cricket Club are looking to bounce straight back to Division Two of the Middlesex County League.
The Lincoln Road club have recruited a number of new players and will be led by experienced batsman Neil Tilley, taking over the first-team captaincy for the third time.
Pre-season preparations get going in earnest on Good Friday when members volunteer to rejuvenate facilities as part of the NatWest Bank’s Cricket Force programme “It’s an opportunity to give our ground and buildings a makeover and get everyone focused on the season ahead as well as an opportunity to meet new faces and renew old acquaintances,” said Nigel Chapman, chairman of the cricket committee.
The club field three Saturday teams and one Sunday eleven as well as supporting a thriving colts section for youngsters aged between eight and 17.
Enfield are always keen to hear from potential new members, for more details, visit enfieldcricketclub.com or contact Chapman on 07984 606009.
