Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall has labelled Peter Stringer as their "Carlsberg signing" after finishing his loan spell with the club.
The Ireland scrum-half played his last game for Sarries in yesterday's win over Northampton Saints and is poised to join Newcastle Falcons until the end of the signing.
McCall said: "I just said in the changing room if Carlsberg did loan signings then Peter Stringer's your Carlsberg signing.
"He's been outstanding on and off the pitch. He's a brilliant guy and unbelievably experienced. He's brought all that experience to bear.
"Him and Ben Spencer have formed a good relationship which is wonderful for a 19-year-old kid. He leaves us with a heavy heart from our point of view because he's been so good and I think he's really enjoyed the experience as well so it's been a perfect match."
