A FROZEN pitch meant that Enfield Town did not play on Saturday.
Town were set to take on Ware at Wodson Park, but a portion of the pitch in front of one of the stands failed a pre-match inspection.
The postponement is unwelcome, as Town fight for promotion out of Ryman League Division One North, but they have not been idle.
Last week, the management duo of Steve Newing and Del Deanus steered the team past AFC Hayes in the Middlesex Senior Cup.
Sam Byfield, Adam Wallace and Stuart Blackburne netted for Town in the 3-2 win.
Now they take on Staines Town next month for a place in the final.
Staines should pose a tough test because they compete in the Conference South, two promotions away from the Football League.
But before that, Town have a home clash with Harlow Town tomorrow night to contend with.
