Enfield 1893 were thrashed 5-0 by leaders Barking in their Essex Senior League match on Saturday.
The hosts got off to a fast start and opened the scoring after just ten minutes. James Peagram found space and fired past goalkeeper Russell Harley.
It took just five minutes for Barking to double their lead when Max Watters neatly rounded Harley to score.
There was no let up and Enfield fell further behind from a close-range header.
A miserable first half for the visitors ended with a four goal conceded when the lively Peagram slotted in his second of the match.
The closest Enfield came to getting on the scoresheet was in the second half when a free-kick by Chris Lockwood was parried by the home goalkeeper.
But Barking were only denied a fifth goal when a header from Jarelle Hamilton was cleared off the line.
The home side rounded off the scoring just after the hour mark when Harley’s punched clearance fell to Jimmy Oshin and he fired into the corner of the net.
Enfield return to action on Friday with a trip to Redbridge.
