Tottenham Hotspur full-back Ben Davies played the full 90 minutes for Wales, as they secured their first win of Euro 2016 against Slovakia.
Chris Coleman’s men scored a late winner through Hal Robson-Kanu to secure a 2-1 victory.
Davies was in the thick of the action early on, as he pulled off a superb goal-saving clearance to deny Slovakia’s Marek Hamsik from opening the scoring with a low shot, after the Napoli man had skilfully wriggled past four defenders.
Gareth Bale put Wales ahead in the tenth minute, with a delightful free-kick, before Slovakia equalised just after the hour mark through Ondrej Duda.
However, Coleman’s men secured the three points through substitute Robson-Kanu, who slotted the ball home after good work from Aaron Ramsey.
Davies was a regular for Spurs during the 2015/16 season, making 27 appearances in all competitions and helping Mauricio Pochettino’s men secure a third-placed finish in the Premier League.
Wales are back in action on Thursday, when they face England at 2pm.
