Enfield Town have confirmed their first pre-season friendlies this summer including a home game against a Brighton XI.

Bradley Quinton’s side will take on the Seagulls at home on Friday, July 22 at 7.30pm.

The Towners will then travel to Ware for a match on Thursday, July 28 at 7.45pm.

The team will be back in action just two days later with a trip to Skelmersdale United with a 3pm kick-off.

Their last friendly scheduled is away to Haringey Borough at 7.45pm on Tuesday, August 9.

Enfield defender Claudiu Vilcu has been named in the Ryman Premier Division team of the season.

Vilcu’s consistent form for the Towners helped the side finish sixth in the table as they narrowly missed out on a place in the play-offs.

In other news, Enfield Town Ladies boss Kyri Neocleous has left the club after leading the team to the final of the FA Women’s Premier League Plate this season.

Neocleous told the club website: “I would like to place on record my thanks to Claire Ford, the players and staff for their tremendous backing and support I have received in my two years since joining the club.

“It’s a brilliant club, with great people, and I wish it every success in the future.

“It has been my first managerial role in women’s football and a period which has proved largely successful, including a good league campaign last season and a national final this, with the highlight being a 2-0 win at home against Newcastle United in the semi-final.”
