Enfield Town boss Bradley Quinton admits it would be an “unbelievable achievement” if his side can secure their place in the first round draw for the FA Cup.

The Towners have already achieved their best run in the competition but are determined to go one step further when they travel to Southern Premier Division side Chesham United in the fourth qualifying round on Saturday.

Quinton said: “If we were able to watch our name come out in the first round draw on Sunday then that would be an unbelievable achievement for us.

“This is perfect for the guys. I would love to put the club and the town in front of the TV and get as far as we can in the competition.

“Everyone is looking forward to it and buzzing for the game. It’s a privilege to be involved in. I’m proud of the guys and we want to go as far as we can in the competition.”

He added: “I think it will be a similar tie to the Hitchin match. It should be a cracking match and I’m sure we will do well.”

The Towners have had a full week’s preparation for the cup tie after Tuesday's game at Wingate & Finchley was postponed. Clubs involved in the competition have the right to rearrange fixtures in the build-up to the game and Quinton felt it was the obvious decision to make.

The manager said: “It was my decision because we wanted to have the best preparation. We will be refreshed and ready for this weekend.

“There is always the worry that you can pick up some knocks. I thought it was worthwhile to rearrange the game and I think any manager would do it given the opportunity.”
