Enfield Ignatians breezed through the first round of the Intermediate Cup by running in nine tries without reply in their 47-3 demolition of Staines at Snakey Lane on Saturday.
Ignatians soon clicked into gear and tries by Jake Bates, Ryan Browne, Liam Horn and Charlie Shorten underpinned a 22-3 half-time lead.
Quick out of the traps, Ignatians capitalised after Staines kicked away possession and a multi-phase attack resulted in winger Hadee Fayaz’s try.
Horn, playing at eight, was the next to go over before man-of-the match Luke Stack scored twice to seal an impressive performance.
Ignatians start the season against Hampstead on Saturday.
