Botany Bay romped to a nine-wicket thrashing of Chorleywood in the Herts Championship on Saturday.

Chorleywood batted first but had no answer to their opponents' bowling attack as they were dismissed for 131.

Greg Harris returned the best figures as he claimed five for 27 while Tim Richards picked up two 27 and Darren James claimed two for 36.

Botany Bay were always in control of the match and required just 20 overs to knock off the runs and seal a one-sided win.

Opener Ben Howgego was in form with the bat hitting an unbeaten 85 while Paul Summerskill also finished on 32 not out.

Botany Bay Seconds suffered a six-wicket defeat to Clifton in Division Six A.

The side could only manage a total of 170 for nine from their innings and Clifton punished them by chasing down this target for the loss of just four wickets in 36.3 overs.

Botany Bay Thirds were also beaten by four wickets by Watford Town Thirds in Division Ten B.

The side scored 233 for eight from 53 overs which looked competitive enough. But Watford Town were up to the task as they won inside 44 overs for the loss of six wickets.

North Enfield eased to a five-wicket win over Hertford Seconds in Division Three A.

Hertford won the toss and elected to bat first but they failed to take advantage of this as they were dismissed for 146.

Shahid Ebrahim was in excellent form with the ball as he returned figures of five for 25. Ahtasham Khan also picked up two for 36.

In reply, North Enfield reached the target with five wickets to spare in just 29.3 overs.

Stuart Halley opened with 25 and Kieran Jones scored 65. Zachary Brown finished on 43 not out as the side comfortably defeated Hertford.

North Enfield Seconds fell to a five-wicket defeat against Abbots Langley Seconds. in Division Six B.

The side were dismissed for just 73 in 27.5 overs and Abbots Langley easily chased down this total in just 14 overs.

Holtwhites Trinbis slumped to an eight-wicket defeat to Northwood in Division Two A.

Batting first, Holtwhites could only score 148 all out in 36.3 overs. Northwood had few problems along the way as they won for the loss of two wickets in 35.1 overs.

The Seconds held out for a draw with Totteridge Millhillians Thirds in Division Six B.

Totteridge scored 246 for six from their innings. In reply, Holtwhites Trinibis were in trouble but managed to avoid defeat on 167 for eight off 50 overs.

In Division Ten A, Holtwhites Trinibis Thirds were thrashed by nine wickets against Ickelford Thirds.

The side were skittled out for 140 in 43.3 overs and Ickleford required just 26.4 overs and the loss of one wicket to seal the points.
