Enfield Town’s Corey Whiteley has been named in the Isthmian Premier Division Team of the Year to cap off an impressive season.

The forward was Enfield’s top scorer last season with 16 goals in 51 appearances as the club missed out on the play-offs in controversial circumstances.

The striker also grabbed 11 assists to help his side to a seventh-place finish.

Midfielder Tom Pett was also bizarrely included in the team, despite spending all of last season playing for League Two side Stevenage.

The 23-year-old spent the 2013/14 campaign in the Ryman Premier, scoring 16 goals for Wealdstone, but made the switch to Broadhall Way ahead of last season.

The rest of the team was made up by mostly league-winning Maidstone United players, with places for Lee Worgon (goalkeeper), Steve Watt, Tom Mills (both defenders), Matt Bodkin, Alex Flisher (both midfielders) and Jay May (striker).

Runners-up Hendon had centre-back Elliot Braithwaite included, while Metropolitan Police’s full-back William Salmon and East Thurrock United’s striker Sean Higgins also featured.

Maidstone boss Jay Saunders was named the league’s Manager of the Season.
