Tottenham Hotspur trio Harry Kane, Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard have been included in Gareth Southgate's England Under-21 squad for the European Championships in the Czech Republic.

Kane's stunning season saw him net 31 times for Spurs as well as marking his full international bow with a goal against Lithuania.

The Chingford-born 21-year-old has scored six times in eight outings for the Young Lions.

Pritchard spent the season on loan at Championship side Brentford but was unable to help the Bees into the top flight after losing to Middlesbrough over two legs in the play-off semi-finals.

Playmaker Carroll was part of the Swansea City side which enjoyed a record points total in the Premier League, playing 13 league games.

England will look to improve on their underwhelming showing at the 2013 Championships where they finished bottom of their group and pointless following three defeats.

The Young Lions begin their tournament against Portugal on June 18 before facing Sweden three days later and Italy on June 24.

Preparation for the Championships continues at St George’s Park for another two weeks before Southgate’s side face Belarus at Oakwell, home of Barnsley, on June 11. They will fly out to the Czech Republic on June 14.
