Winchmore Hill & Enfield Hockey Club have cause to celebrate after their Second and Fourth Teams secured promotion for next season.

First to celebrate were the men’s Seconds, who have secured promotion from East 5SW Division with a game in hand.

They have scored a whopping 113 league goals so far this season - a figure they will look to add to in their final game against Stevenage Seconds on Saturday.

The Seconds currently boast a three-point lead over Rickmansworth in second but with their superior goal difference it would take a 33-goal swing to lose top spot on the final day of the season.

Continuing the success of the Seconds were the men's Fourths, who have already been crowned East 9SW Division Champions after completing their season with a 4-1 win at Bishop's Stortford Sixths.

With 85 goals scored and only 23 conceded, the Fourths have romped to promotion, winning the league by six points.

In the ladies' section also enjoyed a productive season with all three teams finishing in the top half of their respective division. The ladies’ Thirds came close to completing a club hat-trick of promotions but finished third in Middlesex Women's League Division Three.
