Enfield Golf Club’s Harry Casey will make his first European Tour appearance this week when he tees off at the Madeira Islands Open.

The 21-year-old gets underway tomorrow (Thursday) in Madeira, with the event part of the Alps Tour. Finishing in the top five on the Order of Merit on the Alps Tour would give Casey an automatic place on the PGA European Challenge Tour next year.

Casey currently sits in 18th on the Order of Merit having finished 17th, 40th and ninth in the first three events of the season – all in Egypt.

Two wins on the Algarve Pro Golf Tour resulted in Casey winning the Order of Merit and sealing his place at the Madeira Open and also a spot on the Jamega Tour of the UK, which will see him come to Enfield in August.

Casey secured his full Alps Tour card by coming third in final qualifying at the Alps Tour Q-School last year.
