Kyle Naughton has joined Swansea City from Tottenham Hotspur on a three-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old joins the Swans after spending five-and-a-half-years at White Hart Lane following a switch from Sheffield United in 2009.

A former England Under-21 international, Naughton move to north London along with fellow former Blade Kyle Walker but struggled to kick on at Spurs.

In six season with Tottenham, Naughton made just 37 league starts for the club, with a further 22 appearances coming in European competition.

The 5ft 11in full-back played most frequently under Tim Sherwood last season but has also played with some regularity under current head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Naughton has also taken in loan spells away from White Hart Lane with Norwich City, Leicester City and Middlesbrough.

In total he made 74 appearances for Spurs without scoring.
