Enfield Town Ladies boss Kyri Neocleuous says his side must build on their 3-0 Capital Cup quarter-final win over Denham United Ladies when they face Ipswich Town at the weekend.

The Towners Ladies won their first game of 2015, convincingly beating Premier League side Denham United Ladies two reach the last four of the Capital Cup.

Speaking after the game, manager Neocleous remained grounded. He said: “We have put in another excellent performance and that is a real credit to the attitude the squad have shown since returning from our winter break and the win today was a reward for all the hard work.

"It is essential to build on the win today, ready for Ipswich Town next weekend.”

He continued: “From the kick off we set out to attack Denham and pin them back into their half and this allowed us to keep our intensity and tempo at a high standard for the majority of the game, keeping a clean sheet today can’t be underestimated and keeps the buzz going in our camp.

“The football we have played today shows the levels we can reach and is another stepping stone of how we now want to play as a team. We can look forward to the semi-final at home to Charlton Athletic.

“It will be a tough, tough game, we played them in pre-season and they are a team with real quality so the girls will need to be at their best, it’s a semi-final, one off game and we will give it real go.”

Town Ladies return to league action this coming Sunday at home to Ipswich Town and face the Addicks on Sunday, February 15 (1pm kick off).
