Tottenham Hotspur will be without Erik Lamela and Ryan Mason for Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace, whilst Nabil Bentaleb is at the African Cup of Nations.

Argentine forward Lamela has missed Spurs’ last two fixtures after picking up a calf injury prior to the memorable 5-3 win over Chelsea on New Year’s Day.

Lamela also missed the 1-1 draw at Burnley in the FA Cup third round on Monday night.

Midfielder Ryan Mason suffered a hamstring problem which forced him off after 14 minutes against Chelsea and ruled him out of the subsequent visit to Turf Moor.

Speaking to the club’s website, head coach Mauricio Pochettino stated: "They have no chance for Palace, maybe next week, but for Palace they are both unavailable."

Meanwhile Algerian midfielder Bentaleb is with the Desert Warriors at the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Crystal Palace, who will be under the guidance of new boss Alan Pardew for the first time in the Premier League, are without Glenn Murray (ankle), James McArthur (knock) and Marouane Chamakh (hamstring).

The Eagles sit 18th in the Premier League standings – a point from safety after winning just one of their last ten.

Spurs played out a goalless draw with the south Londoners at White Hart Lane at the beginning of December.
