Spurs are monitoring Swansea City forward Wilfriend Bony, who is available if a club meets his £19m release clause, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Welsh outfit had hoped to keep the Ivory Coast striker, who was their top goalscorer last season, but Bony has expressed a desire to join a bigger club.

Despite talks with the Swans boss Garry Monk last week, the Ivorian, who joined the Swans last July from Vitesse Arnhem for a fee of £12m, is unsettled at The Liberty Stadium.

Bony has sparked interest from a number of Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Tottenham included, but Monk is refusing to give up on the striker.

Swans chairman Huw Jenkins said: “If a top Champions League club comes in, and puts the right offer on the table, then of course we will speak to Bony.

“I’ve said all along how important Wilfried is to us and what a good player he is. For me I can help him become an even better player this season.”
