Mo Agoro helped himself to a hat-trick of tries for Oldham RLFC, to condemn London Skolars to a 38-28 defeat at the Queens Elizabeth II Stadium on Saturday.

Adam Clay scored early on for the visitors before Agoro scored twice in quick succession to put Oldham further out in front. Lewis Palfrey then added a goal to hand Oldham a 14-0 lead.

Will Lovell crossed the line to pull one back for Joe Mbu's side, with Courtney Davies converting to make it 14-6.

Patelisio Pelo converted a try of his own before Lovell added his second to drag the hosts back into the contest. Iliess Macani added a fourth try - converted by Davies - to hand London a 22-14 advantage.

Clay scored moments before half time, with Roper converting to give the second-placed side the momentum.

Josh Crawley and Danny Langtree then went over to put the Roughyeds in control after the restart, with Roper successfully kicking both conversions.

Mufaro Mvududu touched down to keep the Skolars' resistance alive - with Davies converting - before Agoro completed his treble and Roper scored again to secure the win for Oldham.

Defeat leaves the Skolars in 7th place, three points of second-bottom Oxford.
